MLK Dream Run Movement Series
“Together We Win”

The MLK Dream Run Movement Series: “Together We Win” is a five-part community wellness activation series leading up to the 15th Annual MLK Dream Run Weekend Celebration in September 2026. Hosted monthly at unique locations throughout the Soul District region, the series brings together movement, wellness, culture, music, and community connection through interactive training activations designed to inspire participation beyond race day.

Created for runners, walkers, families, youth, healthcare partners, local businesses, and community members of all fitness levels, the Movement Series promotes physical wellness, mental well-being, and economic empowerment while building momentum toward race weekend this September.

Each activation highlights unique community spaces, businesses, and experiences throughout the region while creating welcoming opportunities for people to move, connect, and engage together.

Rooted in the spirit of “Together We Win,” the series reflects the MLK Dream Run’s broader mission of building healthier communities, creating economic opportunity, and moving minds, bodies, and communities forward together.

Training Event #1

When: Saturday, May 30th, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Location: Sundance Marina, 570 NE Tomahawk Island Drive, Portland, OR 97217
Hosted at the Columbia River Boat Show

Boat Show Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Golden Hour on the Docks: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

MLK Dream Run Training Activation:

Participants are invited to stop by anytime between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM to take part in the MLK Dream Run Training Activation. Guests can check in at the Soul District mobile trailer before walking or running the suggested 2-mile waterfront loop individually or with friends, then return to the activation area to enjoy wellness activities, connect with the community, explore the boat show, and participate in onsite giveaways and registration specials leading into race weekend this September.
